Which of these CPU Coolers?

Hi there

Which of these two would you buy if all you want is the best performing cooler for an i5 2500K at £60

As there are less parts of it to fail.

I would go for the air over water option. mainly as the few people I know with the enclosed water coolers have found that when they have transported/moved their pcs, if the let it shake a bit, they get an air bubble which makes an awful noise for a week or so.

Yes it does, that or the Thermalright Silver Arrow which is around £60 but they're hard to find.

remember these are very big and wont fit in a lot of cases. I have the silver arrow and would highly recommend it. the NH-D14 is also very good, but check the measurements before ordering.

K2 from me now, very similar to noctua d14 but better value for money. Wish they did some matching case fans seperate though.

Why would they put two different fans on the K2, why not just strap on 2 of the 140s?

I am an antec owner and it does perform well for the money but the air bubble noise is true :\ can get a bit irritating to say the least if your gonna go water save your pennies and do it properly

I don't know if it's just me, but the back tower looks bigger, so maybe it needs a bigger fan to push air through it at the same rate as the front tower.

The central fan can be a bit bigger because there is space for it to hang lower. This also draws air from over the mainboard beneath the cooler and being larger pushes more air at lower rpm.
