Hey guys,

Looks like the fan on one of my 5850's is on its last legs, so was wondering if anyone can recommend an aftermarket cooler...or a possible cheaper fix?

The fan is making a nasty grinding sound so I'm guessing it either needs some lube, or the bearings are knackered.

A simple fix, which worked for a month or so, was just to stick a weighty bit of blu-tak on the fan...but alas it no longer works.

Anyway, if you can recommend anything I'd be really grateful. I've also posted in the wanted section of the MM if anyone has one sale (worth a shot I guess ).

Did mine about 6 months ago as it was making grinding noise and is nice and quiet still now.
