Overclock limitation with Z68 & Ivy Bridge

4.6Ghz
vcore is set to 1.315v and it goes to 1.320v under high load.
LLC is set to level 1
I did have it running at slightly lover voltage than that but it dropped a thread on P85 about 4 hrs in.

Heat isn't a big problem at 1.3v with the exception of the linpac stuff.
P95 on the small fft's can get to about 80c, 75c or so on the larger ffts.
I haven't installed a mega heatsink, i am using a titan fenrir

The pcie slots are both running at 8x gen 3 reported by the NV driver with a pair of 680's installed.

There doesn't seem much of an IPC increase a few % at best nothing you would notice really.

Did a quick heaven test at the 1920x1080 settings being used in the heaven bench thread and i saw a nice increase over the 2500k which was in there
seems PCIe2 at 8x was holding the 680's back slightly and the move to gen 3 lets them breath better.
scores went from 3625 to 3905 so quite a significant increase.
This is in the same ballpark as the x79 performance with the 680's

This board and chip is going to my nephew for gaming i am just having some play time with it first

Edit: No my nephew is not getting the 680's, he is getting my old 470's which served me well.
I moved the 680's from my own gaming rig for experimentation only.
Was a usefull test though.
