its not tempted me to go down the MSI route sorry

I was on the search for a new Z77 motherboard for my new build too

I think you misunderstand. Yes there is a chance that you won't win the cash back if you enter, BUT the closing date for the competition is nearly two weeks before the closing date for cash back registration so you can buy a board AFTER you win the competition

I've purchased a board from a participating distribution partner but the terms and conditions in the email I received are different from those at http://ukcashback.msi.com/.
Reason I am worried is I am not around until next Friday (25th May) so have selected a timed delivery for then, terms on the website say that online applications need to be received by 22nd May and proof of purchase needs to be received in the post via 25th May??? - not really enough time is it....
The terms in my email are -
Cash Back Terms & Conditions:
• Entry is open to UK residents only
• Cash Back Codes are non-Transferrable.
• Cash Back is only valid on purchases of the MSI Z77A-GD65 Motherboard from a reseller shown here: http://micro.msi.com/uk/mb/z77/ before 25th May.
• Cash Back claims are subject to online registration and must be supported by printed copy of registration confirmation and copy of paper invoice as proof of purchase mailed to MSI UK.
• Closing date for online applications is 31st May and deadline for posting supporting information is 8th June. (entries post dated after this date will not be accepted)
• Cash Back amount is £25 and will be paid via cheque. Please allow up to 12 weeks to receipt of cheque.
• MSI reserve the right to reject any claim not backed up with a copy of a valid paper invoice without consultation (web confirmations will not be accepted)
• MSI reserve the right to reject any claim with missing or false information without consultation.
• MSI and Vortez reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who is considered to be breaching the spirit of the competition.
• MSI and Vortez reserve the right to alter the terms of this competition at any time.
• MSI’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
