:D :D

Do you guys think I should put in my current air cooled rig in it, or wait until payday and and just put new gear in it? :D

Love BitFenix!!

Update:

You can check out some more pics HERE until I get time tomorrow to resize and post them :D

----

The plan was to go red, but some of the cables weren't available so I decided to try something I've not done before and gone all white cables and fan LED's

I don't have time tonight to resize all the images so far, but feel free to check out the directory of the full size images and i'll resize and take some more tomorrow

Still deciding if I'm going to put my air cooled system in until I get my new stuff delivered.... or if I should just wait for the new stuff

First impressions.... the quality of the BitFenix products is awesome. The fans feel solid and look amazing - they come with voltage adaptors, fan LED cables (for an LED switch), normal screws and rubber mounts, which is impressive!

The alchemy cables are fantastic. Best braiding I have seen.... no chance seeing the cables through the braid and the heatshrink is nice and tidy!!

The Shinobi XL case - well, I'll have lots to say about this, but a quick first impression - love it! I've researched this anyway so no stand-out surprises, apart from it being so much bigger than I expected... even though I knew it was huge, it really is HUGE

Anyway guys, more tomorrow :D

Also, thanks to Thomas from BitFenix and Rootz too for helping me sort all this out :)

Okay so super busy week, not been able to get many more pics yet.

I've placed the fans where the rad's will go and put in my cables and motherboard stand-offs.... So tempted to put in my current rig, but trying to resist :p

So my new gear for this case has been ordered.

I've went for:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
CPU: i5 3570K
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) XMS3
SSD: 120GB M4

Saturday delivery :D Can't wait!

Could a mod move this to the most suitable place for a build log... since this isn't just about the case :)

And done for tonight :D

I'm installing Windows right now, then tomorrow, I'll be tidying all the cables round the back of the case and getting some new thermal paste so I can put in my Akasa Venom cooler, until I get my water cooling stuff ordered :)

I'm going to change my PSU to a modular (possibly the corsair with white braided cables), and I'll be getting a new graphics card next pay day :D

more pics tomorrow.... maybe later tonight if I get my other new toy out :D

So I decided to start some preparation for watercooling the rig.

The Shinobi XL is said to have about 80mm at the top of the case for a rad and fans, which would mean you couldn't have a 60mm rad and a set of fans at 25mm....

There are a few plastic support bars attached to the roof of the case, so I got out the saw and got down to work :D

Removing the roof completely would have made it so much easier, however the LED's are glued in, and I wasn't up for taking all the cables out the back :p

So, I took the mesh out first:

Took the saw to it:

And now the fans with on top of the case :D

Leaving me with around 80mm inside for a rad, so I'll get the 60mm in no bother:

Next task will be removing this bar from the bottom of the optical bays so I can fit in a 60mm with push-pull in the front of the case:

I have all my bays free as this case has so much room behind (over an inch), I've managed to mount my hard drive behind the bays:

Water to come next week
