Hello,

I have planned purchasing the following equipment for a ESXi/High spec machine build. Will I need any other cabling with this configuration? Will I need any further tubing to be able to watercool two Graphics cards, Motherboard and a CPU? Also will the SLI Bridge that comes with the Motherboard be compatiable with a Two way SLI configuration?

UPS - Will the UPS Need to be a higher voltage as i will be running a 1250W power supply and also may be running a router on the UPS also?

What would be the best configuration for the watercooling? Will I need two loops or one loop? Will I need any additional fans with the case? Does anyone have any Guides or posts that can assist with cable management? I want to make this machine as perfect as possible.

if I was u I wouldn't get the water cooled haf x case as a whole , u better off buying case and building up a better loop with better components, would prolly recommend a different case also, even though haf x is a big case it does get pretty cramped inside pretty quickly so maybe get a bigger case, (don't know much about the other cases so having others recommend one would be good)

EK Supreme HF CPU Waterblock - Nickel Acetal £55.99
OcUK Tech Lab - D5 Vario Pump & EK D5 X-Top V2 Value Combo £89.98
Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator SR1 360 £69.98
Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator SR1 120 £41.99
EK Multioption Reservoir X2 250 Advanced £38.99 or 1 of the other ek ones
Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1850 RPM - 3 Pin x 4 £15,98 each

tubing and fittings etc as needed , something along those items should be decent cooling

agree with avathar do your research take your time, always does seem scary to do your 1st build but as long as u do your research and don't rush when building it u'll be supprise how easy it is and it doesn't take that long to do

doing the research will give u the confidance when it comes to building it

Would you not say It would be easier with that case because I would have the pre-watercooling set up? I could then simply add two radiators? How would you say I should set up the configuration? I will be cooling a motherboard, two GPU's and a CPU. Would you say what you've suggested would be the best setup? Would this case definetly not be the best for this setup?

Kind regards

Jacob

I have the case myself and does get cramped inside , that's why I recommend a bigger case and looked on the store page at the items in the water cooled case and imo u better doing your own custom loop with specially a stronger pump, the d5 pump which I posted earlier thread is very good pump ,expensive but worth it

Ah okay, what watercooling set up do you currently have? To be honest I love the look of that case and I will be Going for a black and red theme Inside my case. WIll everything fit Inside the case? I really wanted to Get the pre-setup one so It will be easier, Should I maybe do that and then upgrade the certain parts?

Kind regards

Jacob

don't think the stuff in that case would be strong enuff to cool everything u need its only really basic stuff and betime u stripped it down to use your parts in it , it would be just as easy to do a custom loop yourself and u'll get much better cooling from it , the case is nice still though but if u want that case buy it separate and add the custom loop and u'll be rewarded with overall better cooling from the better parts

Would the pricing be better aswell? I suppose I could teach myself and set up a better cooling setup. Would this all fit In the HAF X? How many radiators would you say that I would need? How long would you say this would take to set up?

Thanks :)

Kind regards

Jacob

360rad up top and 120 rad connected to rear fan I think would be minimum u'd have to have, look on youtube and will give u ideas for layouts etc , as for building it few hours taking your time, then depending on how confidant u are with the leak testing few hours for that, me myself I used 1/2 inch barbs and 7/16 tubing so nice tight fit so I only did 5 mins leak testing and never had a leak since, if u using compression fittings I prolly would do longer leak testing to be sure.

So would that be outside the case? Will I still be able to put fans at the top of the case? How many radiators would you suggest? Would you suggest the Items you said earlier for a whole build?

How much cabling and what connectors would you suggest?

Isn't this Going to be much more expensive than Just purchasing the pre-watercooled case and then putting In upgrades?

Kind regards

another completely different option would be going down the external rad route and using a phobya 1080 rad , prolly set u back 200 quid for the rad stand and 4 fans (
) either way u look at it with the system u want , u not gonna be able to water cool it all on the cheap.

To be honest I'd rather stick with the HAF X - Can anyone suggest a full watercooling solution for watercooling a CPU, Two GPU's and a Motherboard That will Fit In to that case?

Kind regards

Jacob
