Hi

Adobe have just released a new version of Flash (11.3.300.262). One of the bug fixes listed is a resolution to the stability issues with Firefox.

However this new version seems to be worse! I find that pages that contain flash elements are not displaying / rendering correctly and when they do pages are generally jerky.

I have cleared internet cache and re-installed etc. with no change.

I am going to roll back to the previous version of flash, however I am curious to know if the new issues are only affecting me or if other folk are finding this as well?

I have removed 11.3 and gone back to 11.2 and ticked the box for it to notify me of any updates. Now the Youtube thread displays correctly within Firefox.

I get the annoying tearing and very slow scrolling in regards to the youtube vids.

I have now gone over to Chrome and all is well.

I'm getting these problems as well. I want to drop Firefox now, but would miss its group tabs. I don't think Chrome uses these natively, does anyone use group tabbing with Chrome via extensions?

With FF I have used Colourful Tabs and Tab mix plus for years. Having enjoyed both of those I have got used to managing my tabs how I do and I know that I will miss some of the features of TMP. I have not been able to reproduce them with Chrome or any extension so far.
This has often influenced me going back to FF but I'm going to try and stick with Chrome and see how I manage.

Ah, I thought I was the only one ! Gone back to IE9 now after days/weeks of frustration. And this is after having used Firefox for years.

I haven't even updated from 11.2 since I heard about the problems (I decline the update each time it pops up).

Huh ? Chrome already has a built in bookmarks importer! It imported all of mine exactly the way it's laid out in FirfFox.

Click the spanner on the top right, bookmarks, then import. Choose Firefox and then you're done!

Still using Firefox though as I feel it's more customizable than Chrome. The smoothscroll addons doesn't feel right for it either. But the flash problem... :(.

I found Chrome to be one of the best browsers in terms of bookmark imports. As noted above it works fine and all of my bookmarks were imported from FF without issue.
