Which one of these 2 sound cards?

Asus Xonar D2X

I'm guessing the D2X is the newer model? Does anyone know if the D2X supports ASIO?

If not either of these, does anyone recommend a Creative?

£90 is probably the budget. I sometime mess around with music software, and like to play games.

D2/X is actually the older of the two, well the D2 to be exact, as was the first Xonar released in 2007. The D1/X and the D2X cards followed in 2008.

Both support ASIO. Unified Xonar drivers are probably best used, as they are better for latency than Asus' own.

If you are into music creation though, I'd probably recommend an X-Fi Titanium. While the Xonar's are great cards, the X-Fi is probably the better card when it comes to music creation. An M-Audio 2496 would be better still for music creation, but lacks any gaming features. The X-Fi Titanium offers a good combination of both.
