Anyone using the RTM version of this yet? Been using the RC/Preview for a while, upgraded during the week (became available on the 15th).

It's properly fast, I'll give it that. Metro seems to have utterly ruined the Coherence mode of parallels though.

See here for what I mean.

I've ended up switching it a full screen area, and it's more than usable like that. I feel like it's gone backward though, it doesn't work in any of the integrated modes.

Saying that, not-Metro is a lot better than you'd imagine from first look. It's very usable apart from the fact that it completely and utterly dominates the whole damm screen.

I'll give it a go in Fusion later on. On my W7 pc I've installed W8 with VirtualBox but the mouse curser doesn't work any more after installing the virtualbox drivers so I guess they'll need to do an update. It works fine on my media box but I don't like it yet :p

I personally don't think Windows 8 design is fit enough for VM's. Is it not a nightmare navigating due to the Metro design?

Shouldn't really matter if its run full-screen, its theoretically no different than navigating a native installation.

Saying that though, I has issues with the RC version where the slide-in context menus that are triggered by the mouse entering a certain area of the screen didn't seem to trigger sometimes meaning I occasionally got stuck.

Going to download the RTM version now and have a play and am hoping it'll all work.

Still don't know whether i'm sold on it yet. I went to an MS Bootcamp after the RC was released and they had us sat creating sample Metro apps on VS2012 beta. The final app looked very nice but I left there still thinking hmmmmm, dunno what Joe Public is going to make of this, so much of it seemed unintuitive to me.

Just tried to download it via Parallels, my copy still only has the Preview version advertised, not the RTM, did you get it from somewhere other than the normal Parallels 'Add VM' window?

Edited, never mind, just downloading it via my MSDN subscription, looks like Parallels shouldn't have it and its not just my copy lagging behind.
