Hi guys :)

I've been lurking around for a while now, taking a look at the various threads/posts regarding new builds and seen some amazing help and advice. I'm looking to (finally) build a computer myself with a fairly high budget.

Looks are just as important as usability, well at least for me.

I already have OS + Peripherals. Need as quiet a system as possible with a dual monitor setup. I'm contemplating going for watercooling, but not sure if this is such a wise idea since this is my first full build. Will be used mainly for gaming, photo/video editing and running virtual machines.

Any and all advice would be much appreciated. :D

That actually looks ok (you been studying?)

Samsung have a few monitors with cashback available.

lol, cheers :)

I figured that the case is really down to personal preference and if he wants a bit more bling or colour coding, he could go with a phanteks cooler.

Plenty to play with there.

Pretty sweet starting point. Thanks Petey :)

That said, the case is too under-stated for me. :P
I was looking at these ones here:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-094-NX - Perhaps a little too small?

Also, I may in the future have to connect my xbox one of the monitors. Considering I will need a HDMI input and audio output if I hooked the xbox up, which monitor would you suggest?

No probs :)

There's a few monitors at that price point with HDMI. My advice is to make a shortlist and find as many reviews as you can.
As for audio output, what are you connecting it to and with what cable?
Reason I ask is that I got around it by removing the plastic case on the bog standard xbox AV lead. This allows you to plug both the hdmi and the AV lead in at the same time. You can then use the audio out rca cables from the AV lead. Just use a screwdriver to lever the case off.
Other than that, there's always optical if your setup allows for it.

I'd go with either of the NZXT cases. They're both good. The 410's size is fine, but go with the 810 if you really want to get into watercooling, although I think there's no need unless you're doing it for the looks.
Temp wise, you're perfectly well off with a good air cooler.

Ideally I would want to use my Turtle Beach's with the Xbox (using optical). I never realised it's possible to use both HDMI and the AV simultaneously (the AV for sound, the HDMI for video - or did I just misunderstand you?). Will do some searching around for alternative monitors.

I'm probably going to order this stuff tommorrow night, all ready to get cracking on this baby this weekend. If anyone else has any other suggestions please post your thoughts!

That's exactly what it lets you do :)
If you have a 360 slim console, they have an optical port at the back rather than on the AV connector.

Oh sweet. I think I'll just purchase two 'LG E2442V-BN 24" LED LCD HDMI Monitor' from elsewhere then. Should do the job just fine :]

There is one other question I have. Currently I run a 'dual' monitor setup on my laptop (a single monitor attached to my laptop via DVI). If I were to purchase 2 (or more) monitors to connect to the one tower, would I require any additional cables?

Depends what cables you have and what the connections on the monitor and graphics cards are. DVI would be best as all GPU's and monitors support them (or at least nearly all do)
