Orderd a new 7870 hawk card from ocuk and its faulty. Its not stable at stock clocks and im games its just broken. Fans spin at 100% until drivers are installed also. Ive just spent the best part of the night trying it in my mates machine with a better psu to see if that was the problem and its just the same on a 750 corair psu.

Its ok with a slight overclock but after a while peformance just decreases. Its getting worse everytime i use it. This is the second time ive orderd expensive parts and they have come broken. The last time was an MSI Z77 board was DOA and the packaging looked like DPD threw it off a cliff.

Also now im worried to send this card back because i sent my MSI board back to ocuk allmost 2 weeks ago and ive heard nothing, ZILCH. No updates on the ocuk website either. I dont know whats going on with ocuk goods just lately. Im not sure if its DPD or what because the 7870 packaging was slightly crumpled on the top right corner of the box. The card wasnt even in bubble wrap and was just thrown in a plastic DPD bag.

Im very dissapointed and dont really want to continue to buy these PC parts from ocuk in fear of this happening again unless this is resolved asap.

What should i do guys? I mean knowing my luck id send it back and they wouldnt recieve it just like whats happening with the MSI board. Im hoping that they will send out a replacement and dpd can pick the faulty card up. 2 items in under a month really takes the biscuit.

Rant over, im just very annoyed about this.

This sub-forum isn't the place for shop questions, there is a customer service forum further down :)

But you've just been unlucky I feel, been ordering from OcUK for years and years, had hardly any stuff which is DOA, only a few sets of RAM, and it was all sorted within a week :)

Ask in the Customer service forum and see what happens :)

Seeing as many people (including myself) have rarely had any problems with OcUK, it's very strange and unfortunate that you've had to suffer twice. However, have you tried to track the MSI board? Who was it sent with, and was it sent insured? Your best bet would be to ask in the customer service section of the forum, but I have a feeling you already knew of it and this was a public display of dissatisfaction.

Not strange mate. Just unfortunate

I dont think its ocuk tbh im blaming DPD for bad handling but ocuk could have packaged the card better lol

I didnt think id need any special delivery options since its ocuk i sent it too and everything should be fine.

why havnt you phoned OcUK to confirm they have received the mobo?

I shouldnt have to do all this running around mate :D

Ive allready paid to send the motherboard back

Sorry if i sound annoyed but this is getting beyond the joke mate :(

Ill have to shop elsewhere if this continues or isnt sorted out.

Anyways, my bedtime lol

Goodnight

I do believe all OcUK returns are to be sent via Tracked post other wise the Insurance on the package is next to nothing! as for sending a Motherboard via Standard mail well what do you expect to happen!

Oh and the Customer Services section of the forum is right at the top of the main Index!

Seen your thread in the Customer Service forum.

I will send a brand new one out today, for delivery tomorrow for you. And I will arrange a collection of the faulty one today. :)
