Has anyone managed to get these two working together at the correct memory speed ?

I can only get it to boot at 1334MHz, 1600 won't boot even with the timings set manually.

Are you using the latest motherboard BIOS?

Quite often newer version improve memory compatability amongst other things.

I have the same trouble, no matter what I do I can only get 1333mhz.

tried enabling xmp and setting it manually!

I tried 1.6v for one boot but it made no difference.

I flashed to F18 with Q-Flash before doing anything else after building the PC.

So you haven't found a solution ? Also, I wonder how much real world performance difference there is between 1333 and 1600.

No solution yet, I do not think it will make that much of a difference to be honest

If it doesn't make much noticeable difference I'd probably just keep it since I bought it when OcUK had it on that opening weekend deal for £40.

Edit, I've got 3 passes of memtest86. Those passes were at 1334MHz, 9,9,9,24 1T which the MB is currently defaulting to. That's actually tighter timings than the setting on the RAM box.

Is that 2 x 8GB or 4 x 4GB?
Also try 1.65V

Hey. just thought I'd jump into this thread. I'm looking at getting this mobo for a new build.

Or would I have to get a 16GB Dual Channel kit?

The board is dual channel but those modules are both dual/quad so I don't see why not although this board seems fussy with RAM.

Stanners, will your PC boot with the RAM set to -

11-11-11-28 , 1800MHz, 1.5v ?

Mine does and I'm currently mem testing it.

I too had trouble configuring a system with 2133 ram on this MB. Best bet is to ask on the manufacturers forum about which ram to run. I ended up just running at 1600 and tightening the timings.

Mine passes memtest @ 1800 but fails prime95. I think I'm going to get this RAM exchanged. Does anyone have any suggestions on what RAM to get that is known to work with this motherboard?

I doubt the RAM is faulty. It just doesn't appear to be compatible with this motherboard or rather it won't run at it's rated 1600MHz. It seems fine at 1333MHz and prime has run for 8 hours now without a problem at that speed.
