lads this is popping up all over the the net, and at insanely low prices. cheaper than the DGM and catleaps.

is OCUK getting any stock?

Ive ordered one closer to home, and expect delivery on the 6th apparently. Ill be comparing it to my catleap.

Looks like all the sellers are drop shippers and nowhere has actual stock yet so I'd keep an eye on this in case there's been a **** up in the description. Insanely low price if it turns out to be correct though.

Yeah saw this over the weekend. Insane prices. Slightly gutted I went for the Hazro (albeit on offer) if these turn out to be true! Mental pricing for this type of screen.

Wouldnt you rather Dell to LG led though? specifications for dell are quite superior in my opinion and dell xmas sales might pop up

They might have a better build quality but the specs are usually the same as the panels tend to be identical, it's not worth spending £400 more for some higher end plastics and better in built speakers..

Ha Ha, yea built in speakers always make me laugh; like what self respecting individual uses those 5w specials...I mean anyone looking at a monitor of this spec is clearly going to already have proper speakers.

Price doesn't seem that amazing to me, you can get a 1920x1080 LG IPS for 100 pounds... maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about and 2560 screens are just insanely expensive in comparison.

Not at 27 inches you can't. And cramming in 1.77 times as many pixels and suitable electronics to drive them should add considerable cost. This monitor seems to be available (apparently) for less than the cost of LG's 'super cheap' IPS277L which is a 1920 x 1080 27" part. It simply doesn't add up.

e-ips? Mines dispatched; parcelforce.

I look forward to your thoughts when it arrives. It would be AH-IPS most likely as that is what LG are now focussing on. The Moniker doesn't matter, the point is that it doesn't make sense for a 2560 x 1440 monitor to cost less than a 1920 x 1080 of otherwise equivalent specification from the same manufacturer. It isn't unheard of for manufacturers (especially LG) to mess up specifications so we'll just have to see.

I am quite nervous, but hey that's what miss selling regs are for.

Still if LG have messed up, they've done so most royally...i.e. so many good specs, ips, 2560x1440, height adjustable stand, 27" and 5ms...that a lot to get wrong...you don't think they've take the whole spec list of a much more expensive screen and put it on the wrong code?

One positive sign is that the price has gone up to £250, down from £400, on a special. £400, that's more believable.

My order status from elara has changed to back order, upon sending them an email they said "Orders over the weekend get allocated on Monday, unfortunately they were all
sold before your order or there were stock discrepancies or both."

The super special offer is what I have my fingers crossed for.
