hello and sorry if the info is here somewhere but i have searched and im a noob at this so please go easy on me :D

just upgraded and used a first for me a bundle from here,

Krypton Z77 OVERDRIVE" Intel Core i7 2700K 3.50GHz @ 4.20GHz DDR3 Overclocked Bundle

temps so far with Zero Infinity Phantom Knight CPU Cooler installed, start up 21c at 30% 50% cpu use temp goes to 31c, will take to 100% later and see how cool it stays, just ran some bench marks and got it to 41c so guessing thats as high as it will go, will test it on for 24hrs and keep at default settings done by OC's and see how cool it stays (not that im going to alter anything myself as not needed), so far a great bundle and setup, temps are very good, got a noisy fan but will change that as its no big deal.

7 hours now on, cpu fan set at 1872 rpm and motherboard fan set at 2419rpm other 4 case fans aren't monitored ones but are all temp sensors ones, motherboard temp is 23.0c with cpu at 33c at 76% threshold average for an 5 hour. cpu frequency steady at 4193 mhz

now downloading 140gb of my steam games from the net on virgin media 100mb cable, temps after 2 hours on steady at still 31c so great cooler

so is this good?

as was thinking it maybe higher temps? but very happy with lower, just surprised tbh.
was thinking that it would sound like a helicopter tbh to keep it cool, so happy with it, fan does make a noise so will replace just incase but very happy so far with it, need to game later so just install my steam folder.

might also change me case as its an old chieftec full tower, front usb isn't 3 and its at least 6 years old, coolings great and plenty of space for anything, could hide all the boxes that this kit came in it tbh and still have space.

so anyone with any input thanks for it, just advice and yes thats about right or is ok etc :)

merry christmas

ps, just altered stock fan on Zero Infinity Phantom Knight CPU Cooler with golf ball one from OC and now temps are lower still 20c at boot and 29c at 50% so cool :)

ty, always nice to double check as wasn't sure i was doing right going for a overclocked bundle but now glad i did.

just need to finish my steam game installs and get playing, don't think i'll be sleeping much tonight unless the gf comes home with something new and sexy :)

Zakblood, if you want to see where your temps are @, run a stress test like either Prime95, or Aida64. Run the test for around 15 minis, that will give you a good idea of where your max temps are going to lie, run it for 24 hours if you want 100% stability (tho if you purchased a pre-oc from here, it most likely has already had this test performed pre-shipping).

yes has been thanks, just wanted to see why it was so cool and also had a fan problem at the start but replaced and now working better thanks, it wasn't that i was no trusting it or anything just wanted to see if my fans was working right, direction plus speed etc as a old case and wasn't sure if to get another or keep it but now i'll keep this and may be build another after xmas as my mate now seeing mine run want his updating, half the temps of my last one tbh, so shocked :)
