Multi Monitor confusion

I'm thinking of adding a Benq XL2411T to accompany my 27" Hazro. The Hazro only has dual Link DVI to connect to the graphics card so I have to use that. The Benq has D-sub, dual Link DVI and HDMI x 1. I'm running evga 670 FTW SLI which has DVI-I, dual Link DVI, HDMI and Display-Port.

So, as the Dual Link DVI is being used that leaves me with the hdmi as the common connection. My question is; Can I still use 144hz and 3d Vision 2 via the hdmi or do I need some sort of convertor?

Thanks.

i connect mine with HDMI but I dont use it for 120hz or 3D its just purely as a second monitor. With my hazro connected via DL DVI

the XL2420T has D-sub / DVI-DL (Dual Link) / HDMI x 2 / DP 1.2 so yes slightly different inputs to the Xl2411T

Looking around it seems I can get 120hz/3D through the displayport on the 2420, so it seems an option that'd work, it's more expensive though.

Yep display port will run it fine (have used that myself in the past with the 2420 for 120hz and 3D) but like you say its a bit more expensive for the 2420 over the 2411.

Someone just told me I can just use the single Link DVI connector on the card and it will work properly if I use the right Dual Link cable, does that sound right? Looking on the wiki page it seems as though it would physically fit.

The card has two DL DVI slots. One is Integrated the other is Digital. They're both Dual Link though.
