I'm back baby!
On the 5th of March next year I will be taking part in Vertical Rush 2013. A race to the top of the second tallest skyscraper in London.

I will be doing this in aid of Shelter, the UK homeless and homelessness charity. This year 75,000 UK kids will wake up homeless.

Please find out more about Shelter here and if you can find it in your heart please donate to my page here.

I understand that there is a £5 minimum fee, if anyone would like to donate less than this I have a charity bank account I have used several times on here that you can put any amount of cash into and I will transfer it over.

Goodluck.

Had a few guys from the office here do it last year, one of them is super fit and does triathlons for fun, he came back looking like a corpse and was still a good few minutes of the winning time.

I think what you mean is the second tallest in the city of london, one canada square is second tallest in london ;)

Still, only 50m and 3 floors difference

75 000 kids yet they make adopting a long and very painful process :(

What exactly is vertical rush anyway running up 85 flights of stairs or are you allowed to take the lift?

Sorry guys, I was taking that from the Shelter website :)

It is the second tallest in the City of London, but the 7th tallest in Greater London.

I'm afraid there's no lifts allowed :D but there is a bar at the top, and that's what I'm hoping will get me up the last few stairs.

Yes, it is annoying, but at least all of the cash goes to the charity unlike some other giving sites :)

Thanks very much for all your donations so far guys. I've contacted them to ask why the total isn't going up!

No we've just bought slots in teams at work. If someone drops out, I take their slot. :) If there was enough interest for another team I may just get onto that team instead. It'll be fun - I did it with work 3 years ago, but there's not enough interest for 2 teams this year :(
