Would be fine! I don't think adding a cooler would work too well as far as offering it as part of the bundle as the customer may be restricted in size etc by their choice of case. You could have course add a drop down menu with a selection of coolers.
 
I'll repeat myself. You need a heatsink. OEM CPU does not come with one. A retail CPU comes with a stock heatsink...
 
Would that cheaper bundle be a worthy buy?

I want to upgrade my machine, it needs it badly.

I have an E8400 and 4Gb ram...lol...but also a GTX 560.

I know I would see a MASSIVE boost in CPU performance, but what about graphical games? Is my current poor ancient CPU holding back my GPU? Would it be worth grabbing a new GPU with the bundle?

Also, I have a Fractal Designs R3 case (think that's right) and I'm wondering, will that heatsink fit?

Read the bit about a drop down menu, they could offer low profile ones or an option for a retail CPU.

It should fit just fine, and will have a big effect on general performance. Some games will improve (BF3, Starcraft and other CPU intensive games) but not all of them will.

Is your e8400 OCed?

Was, but was having issues, so it's back at stock. I hit major lag in Planetside when CPU use goes to 100% and the same in GW2, so was hoping something like this would help more than a new GPU. I may sell my PS Vita to fund this bundle if it will improve a lot more than a £300 GPU...
 
A 3570k will massively increase your performance in games like PS2 and GW2 which are CPU heavy, over what you are currently using Jaffa... more so than a new GPU.

Definately. The 3570K will be a big step up in performance for sure!
 
I have ordered some parts similar to this bundle, as I didn't have as much cash as I thought. I mentioned I had a GTX 560, I was wrong, I looked in the attic and the box says GTX 460. Hopefully this will still boost performance more than buying a new GPU.
 
Slight confusion, not that it really matters.

Your second bundle title reads @ 4.40Ghz
Description reads @4.50Ghz

I presume its the prior seeing as you've added more memory to the bundle. So overclock is reduced.
