Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare [XBOX 360] full of hackers

I know it is old, but I prefer playing it to the newer one(s). Although hacking is getting too much on it.

I've been de-ranked, but managed to get into another hacked lobby to get most things back to normal.

My points & XP were de-ranked to -100000000+ (I cannot say the exact number since it kept changing). It happened because I were away from the XBOX while it were happening. When I finally got back to my XBOX and noticed it weren't a normal lobby I tried to back out, but I couldn't back out since the patch/mod they were using doesn't let you.

I were too late to dashboard because the damaged were done. -.-

Anyone having an issue with COD4 on XBOX 360 with hackers/modders and being de-ranked?

I'm trying to get into another one to try and get myself back to original status.

Let's stand up to them or at least try.

Every popular 360 game that has a competitive online mode has cheaters and script kiddies.

Problem is Microsoft,devs etc don't give a single F.

They have your money and have no reason to stop this sort of behavior even though it ruins most games, GTAIV being the one that springs to my mind.

Last time I played MW2 online there was a guy on the other team flying while 1 shotting people with the AA-12. This was a good 2 years back, the developers simply don't care about supporting older titles when their latest cash cow is raking it in for them.

In the case of CoD monitoring was done by Infinity Ward, once they stopped supporting the game the hackers came out to play en masse

It costs to have better up time and early content release as well as a free support line and some other things. They'll eventually issue more free stuff to XBL users if PSN decide to go ahead with changes on their Network.

Microsoft hasn't helped by poor policing and soft punishments with infections only becoming an automatic account ban in May 2011.

The last time I played MW2 on PSN there were people using hacks/mods, i think it's Activision and CoD tbh, no other games seem affected.

Like Alpherah said, once infinity ward moved over to MW2, i think all support interms of updates and security patches stopped. I still play the 360 version and tend to stick to only "free 4 all" and "team deathmatch". Those modes seem to have less issues interms of cheats/hacks. But yeah, its kinda tragic because i still consider it the best FPS of all time.

I do use the LIVE complaint system but doubt it makes any difference. Think most people cant be bothered.
