Hi I have one of these, yes the instrustions are wrong, O-ring goes first them pump as per the second instrustions you linked too. if you did it as per the enclosed instrustions you would not have a watertight seal between the pump top and pump.

I thought so, thanks, shame that even EK can not understand that they are wrong then, as I actually raised a support ticket with them and they replied to it all ready, shame it's still incorrect info.

here is what I asked,

(Me)"Are EK-D5 X-RES 100 CSQ - Acetal instructions incorrect?"
Hello,

I have an inquiry, I have purchased EK-D5 X-RES 100 CSQ - Acetal and after looking over the included instructions and the ones on you site, I am unsure where to place the O-Ring.

As looking at the instructions, the O-ring goes beneath the pump, but on the normal pump top, it goes on top of the pump, if you compare these 2 instructions you can see what I mean, http://www.ekwb.com/shop/EK-IM/EK-IM-3831109842645.pdf and http://www.ekwb.com/shop/EK-IM/EK-IM-3831109842584.pdf , please notice the place of the O-Ring in each instructions, on the D5 pump the O-Ring has always attached to the metal part of the pump to create a seal, on the included instructions and the ones on line it suggests to use it on the plastic casing of the pump.

I don't want to get it all together only to find out the instructions are wrong and it leaks water inside my case, thanks

Well, I got another reply after trying to explain it better, basically I just said, look your instructions are wrong.

''Dear customer,

We are very sorry for the problem it looks like the mistake was made by the department responsible for instructions.

You are right, oring should be on the D5 pump to create a seal.

We have already brought in additional staff to expedite the instructions and change it, so there will be no more misleading information’s.
There is no question that the instructions we have, did not meet the very high standards our customers have come to expect and should continue to demand.

Again, I apologize for our mistake and regret any inconvenience caused as a result.
If there is anything else that we can do to minimize your inconvenience in regard to this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards Peter Šajn''

So at least I know now where to place the O-ring:) and they replied very quickly (same day) so top notch service really.
