I am optimising my daily carry and I need a slimmer wallet. I want a single fold with space for cash, about 10 cards (most to be stashed away in one slot really tight, 2 get used regularly).

I like this: http://bellroy.com/wallets/note-sleeve-wallet But I do not like that it's priced for hipsters living in SF.

Who knows where to get nice, well built wallet at a more sane price?

I've got an Aspinal wallet. Had one for years until it got stolen and I had to buy another one!

Edit: Damn, just seen it's priced about the same as the one you linked to!

Your wallet won't be slim for long if you keep 10 cars in it. Stack 10 cards on top of each other to see how thick it will eventually get.

I don't have 10, it's an estimate based on that I have 2 I use, then a few I don't and some slips of paper and I always carry earplugs (don't ask).

Main point is I need relatively few card slots and a pouch.

Have a look in debenhams if you are near one, I was able to get my brother one for his birthday at a good price. Big range of styles and his is holding up well 2 years on.

I have the Hide and Seek Wallet from Bellroy, beautifully made and hard wearing and still a nice slim wallet. I can't stand carrying bunches of keys and having things in my pockets, so this is ideal for me.

To be fair it's not a bad price for such a wallet, backed by a 3 year warranty. You get what you pay for,in this case a beautifully made and hard wearing wallet.

After reading this thread I'm now feeling my last wallet purchase was a bit more extravagant that I thought!

When I need a new wallet I generally head round to TK Maxx and they have a few different kinds to choose from, although as usual somewhat picked through.
