Hey guys,

So I am seriously considering adding another GTX780 to my rig.

I run a single 1200p professional art monitor (colour accuracy is very important for my job) and my Goal is to stay >=60fps with the most demanding titles maxed out, specifically Tomb Raid 2013 with TressFX enabled, Far Cry3 (which is a bitch), games like Crysis 3, Metro LL and Battlefield 4 etc.

So my question to you is, will this be attainable with GTX780 Sli? Or would I be better off waiting for a single GTX880?

Thanks for your input

Sorry mate I do t know the answer but thought I'd shout nice overclock! Mines sitting at 4.3ghz and I'm waiting for an afternoon off to tinker with mine.

Have you overclocked your gtx780?

Cheers mate! Yeah it was a great clocker out the box, think I got lucky with that one

I have overclocked my GTX780 and it runs great!!

Hey Matt, for sure in games like Tomb Raider, staying > 60fps will be no problem. Crysis 3 is very demanding but should stay above 60 fps. Farcry 3 is very poorly coded and SLI scaling is terrible. Adding a second card adds about a 20% boost (guessing) but I feel even an Maxwell GPU will not compete with SLI 780's.

Several bench results there for SLI 780's :)

Edit:

Just looked at the Farcry3 bench for SLI 780'S and appears that scaling is much better, so scrub my previous comment.

This is really Brilliant info thanks!!

I think I would be more inclined to buy the Second 780 if I felt it would outdo next years single GPU offering. :)

I would as well and it might pay to hold off on the upgrade till AMD release their new cards, as this could well lead to a cheaper purchase.
