this seems lame to have to ask but i don't want to get the wrong one and end up wasting my money, and the information online doesn't seem to be as clear as i'd hoped.

so i'm someone who shaves sometimes every other day, though often once a week or sometimes even less frequently, so when i shave i have a bit of length. i've used like a hair trimmer before which has been cheap, and gets close enough for what i care, however they have always ended up losing charge quickly/going blunt quickly so that it ends up plucking the hair and hurting.

i'm looking on amazon but there is such a variety in stlye and price. ideally i'd like to spend less then £50.

i can't tell if the triple circle style shavers would work for a beard of my legnth, seems like this would be more suited for every day shaving only?

so what should i get?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remington-MB320C-Barba-Beard-Trimmer/dp/B000SZ7460 great piece of kit for the price I've had mine for over a year and it's still going strong, gets used once or twice a week and probably only needs charging every 8 weeks or so.

I've got one of these too. Very effective but a couple of issues.
Mine for whatever reason seems to lose charge quite quickly even with light use. It also seems to forever have the charge light on when plugged in?
Secondly, as it does not have a 2 pin charger if it suddenly does run out you are a bit stuffed!
Been caught out a couple of times and the effect isn't really what I am after :p

Fearful of angering the Remmington posse that seems to have appeared, but I quite like my iStubble thingy. I know very little about it and I have no idea what a barba is, but I get along fine with mine. :)

thanks for the suggestions. will the suggestions be able to shave to bascially nothing? i shave and get rid of it all as close as they go, so just want to make sure the lowest setting is low?

The lowest the Barba goes is 1.5mm which is not that short. The iStubble (Which I have) goes to <0.5mm which is short but is still very noticeable. Looks like you need an electric razor not beard trimmer.

I've been using that remington trimmer for the past 6 years, I trim about once every 4-8 weeks. Hasn't gone blunt and still works as it did when new.

I couldn't ever go back to shaving again, beards are the best.

I've tried hair clippers after a week of no shaving. The hairs from your 'tache go everywhere and in your eyes! Ok, you can close your eyes but doing that and shaving get's a bit tedious.
