Took some pics on Monday as we went to visit the Safari Park in Longleat, great day out. I recently got the revised Canon 55-250 STM and am pretty impressed with it. At £270 it's great value for money IMO. Most these shots were taken with it. Unfortunately a lot of these I also had to take through the car window (lions get bitey apparently!) but corrected with some Lightroom post processing.

Thanks really had fun there and also recommending this lens to anyone on a budget. Only problem I had a couple of times was a f00 error locking the camera. Not sure if it's a dirty connection or an issue with firmware on my 650D as it's a new lens. Need to keep an eye out on this one.

Had same problem, there is a a firmware update to solve it, firmware Version 1.0.4, came out June 2013.

Thanks night glow, already got 1.0.4 but I'm pretty sure this lens revision came out after June. Need to give it a few more test shots to make sure I don't have a defective one..

Also happy with the rainforest as the lens dropped another £30 since I got it last week and they are refunding me the difference :-)

Cheers, #4 seems to be a favourite, just goes to show it's not just about the tog, the subjects kind of play a huge part :)
