I am soon ordering a monitor, just want some advice which 24" monitor is best for the price, I have a budget of Max £150.

Same question, bit of an all rounder browsing/gaming for my needs.

Don't know if a Dell 2412 is worth the extra, or save monies and go all out on a 27" 120Hz next year?

Try and work out what matters more, gaming or general use. Whilst i love gaming, i spend more time watching TV/Movies and generally browsing the web or writing code personally, so i'll most likely opt for an IPS screen when i do a build(use to have a 24" DGM IPS years ago before i sold on the system but i'd never go for anything less than an IPS now - if you've never used IPS however you won't likely feel you're missing out on much).

I love gaming(as much as the next guy), but i'm managing right now on a 19" Dell 4:3 screen at the moment(surprising how good quality it is for such an old screen), even in Planetside 2, where i can notice tearing etc... (i've got so use to it though, unless i'm thinking about it, it's a non-issue).. naturally such things may matter more to you.

Work out your priorities and go from there...

sorry, should have put this at the start but i will be generally using it for photographic work/gaming and watching films.

Have a dig around google and see for yourself, i don't think any brand is good or bad, tends to come down to the individual models more than who make them.

I'd be inclined to save for a 120/144Hz screen if you're happy to use the one you currently have and gaming is important to you.

At that price range they're all pretty similar. Pick the one you like the look of best that has the longest on-site warranty. With monitors it really pays to pick one with on-site..I speak from experience :D

I've been watching this thread with interest, I've gone for the Asus VE247H

Will let you know what it's like over the weekend.

Not to fussed about an IPS panel, prefer having a lower response time for when I'm playing the odd FPS, I hope it will be as good as my old Samsung, the Asus is 4 years or so newer in design so hopefully it will match it at least.

The thin bezel would have been nice thou.
