Couldn't see a thread?

What are yours?

Mine are quite simple as they are mostly cycling.

To time trial more and get down to under 25 mins over a 10mile course. Done 1 in 27:53 on same course I September.

To complete my charity ride from London-Paris in under 24hrs this time! Did it this year and it took 24hrs 30mins! Gutted!

To lose a bit of weight to help a) my cycling and b) allow me to Wing Walk on a plane! I'm 6'1" and weighed 82kg in September but am not down to about 76.5kg! Aiming for 75kg kitted up! I have zero will power though and the biscuits are my enemy!

Running

Current
5k - 21.12
10k - 46.07
Half Marathon - 1.38.??
Marathon - 3.55.??

Target
5k - Sub 20.00
10k - Sub 43.00
Half Marathon - Sub 1.35
Marathon - Sub 3.45 (If I choose to another one this year)

Cycling

I simply want to enter around 3-4 events as a means to get some experience again with long distance cycling and see where I'm up to before I make any specific aims.

Swimming

Current - 43.05 (1500m Open Water Swim / Salford Triathlon)
Target - Sub 38.00

I do realise that knocking five minutes off this time might sound unrealistic I'm not sure but I did this time having stupidly only doing two swimming sessions in training for the triathlon. Therefore with plenty more time in the pool I think I should be able to achieve it. Will also help with knocking the 8 minutes off my triathlon time to get under sub 2.50.

Triathlon

Current - 2.58.38 (Olympic Distance)
Target - Sub 2.50

Depending on how training goes and motivation more importantly I also aim to possibly complete a half Ironman this year, if not I'll be doing it in 2015.

strength -;

Deadlift - 190-200, 200 would be the GOAL but I want to be realistic.
Squat - 170kg - 30kg over a year, should be do-able!
Bench - 100kg - 15kg over a year shouldn't be a problem if my training goes to plan.

Weight -;

85kg before cut - 77kg right now, should be quite easy!

Cycling -;

5000miles/year
metric century
if metric is done lets do 100miles as a dream goal.
enter at least 1 organised event!

EH.

Grudas, that is the most tame set of goals I've ever seen for a 12 month period :p

I just want to get aesthetic. I've hit comfortable benchmarks for strength; 200kg deadlift, 180kg squat, >100kg bench. More than most of the people down the gym will ever lift (inb4 except for phaggot bench), but I want to get the look now. 90kg lean would be the dream but going to get SLOW if I stop using my assistance.

Dispose of the love handles and keep them off while enjoying the free food and alcohol of 3 weddings, 3 stag dos and 1 hen do I've got to go to this year.
Focus on strength and hopefully spend some time over in Birmingham playing with some strongman kit.

Overhead press Morba :p

150KG bench (+7.5KG)
220KG Squat (+15KG)
230KG Deadlift (+25KG)

Would take me to 600KG, if I can do these at sub 90KG I would be chuffed. 95/96KG at the moment, dat Christmas bulk.

I'd like to get as close to those as possible, training and staying snap free permitting *touch wood*.

Got the following scheduled for this year

Edinburgh 10k (End of May)
Glasgow Half Marathon (End of September)

I weigh in at 230lbs at the moment, want to get down to at least 200 for the end of May, then around 180 for end of september

Training will be mainly running and strength work in the gym for the first two months months. 12 weeks out from the 10K i will be running a set out plan to try and achieve as quick a time as possible in the 10K. I will be adding in some serious swimming and hopefully if I can pick one up for the right amount, some road bike work after the 10k is complete.

This is all in aid of my goal for 2015 which is Iron Man UK

k, allow me to fix it.

deadlift - 165 to everything
squat - 140 to everything
bench - 85 to EVERYTHING

better? :D trying to be realistic lol, if I hit those goals I'll up the number obviously.. squat is already high IMO as 30kg over a year is quite a bit.. especially since I've warmed up with the weights now and know my maxes

100kg Squat - 120kg/130kg
110kg Deadlift - 140kg/150kg
57.5kg Bench - 70kg/80kg
45kg OHP - 60kg

I think they're all reasonable goals and most should be achievable without too many issues, the deadlift and the bench may be a stretch but that's no reason not to give it a damn good try.

No, those are ridiculously achievable goals for the time limit. 12 months should see your deadlift pushing 180 - 200. Just train hard and eat a lot.

Providing you manage to stay snap free :)

When things like cutting and work life gets in the way it can get a little more difficult as you know I'm sure.

A solid year of lifting (smart) & eating (well) though and those boxes are very much tick-able.

To change this:

KiNgPiN83 ---------- 80 / 125 / 160 ---------------------- [90] ------- 365

To something like this:

KiNgPiN83 ---------- 100+ / 160+ / 190+ ---------------------- [85] ------- 450+

And get under 4 hours in my (2nd and) last ever marathon.. (I've ran one before in 4:12:11 and am retiring after this one. :o:D)
