Sennheiser HD518 or PC350SE

Trying to decide between these 2 headphones/sets

518s are open, 350s are closed, not real problem either way for me.
Will need a mic with 518s (although been using mic on webcam for ages).
Wire plugs into headset on 518s, so if wire breaks just need to replace, hard wired into 350s headset.

HD518 are about £95 and PC350SE are £120.

But dont know what would be better for gaming in terms of sound quality.

Probably will get a sound card such as ASUS Xonar DG PCI 5.1 Audio Card.

Any users out there ever compared/used both of them?

I got the 518's a few weeks back and the quality has blown me away, I'm not exactly an audiophile either. I'd have to listen to the PC350SE's to compare but the 518's have exceeded my expectations.

The 518s looks like a newer version of my 595s - which are amazing!

hi chap, a few weeks ago a good friend of mine gave me a pair of almost new hd518 s and they were my first open headphones. I got some cash for xmas so decided to get a gamin only headset and after lots or reviews and a good price i got the 350se s . Now ive only used them for about 2 hours and if im honest i prefer the hd518 s at the moment. Now im not that up on headsets but a lot of guys mention burning or breaking new headsets in...what does this actually mean. Hope this helps...im using an asus dgx sound card aswell, if anybody could recommend me some settings i would be most grateful...sorry to jump the thread chap hope you dont mind...cheers

HD518's with a clip on mic.. good quality setup.
