Tried this earlier on my laptop, Pretty cool how it all works. Some apps won't allow you to install & I had a few force closes from youtube when trying to use that.
Just use the Linux Live CD Windows application to create a bootable USB stick.
1 Download the ISO
2 Plug in USB key
3 Open Linux Live
4 Select your USB Key
5 Select the ISO
6 Choose your persistance space, this is just how much space on the USB you want to allocate to your settings and apps. So that everything you do will be retained rather than lost.
7 Click the lightning icon the create it.
8 Done
