So it seems there is a 13 episode mini series of Heroes coming in 2015. Not much details apart from the original creator Tim is back leading its return.

Anyone excited? I loved season 1 but it went downhill fast for me.

We all know you are not in the minority there and what people remember about this show the most is just how quickly the show drop in quality after the 1st series. Lets hope Mr Kring’ has learned from his mistakes.

Edit: The whole "stand-alone arc" thing doesn't inspire confidence I wonder if they will move forward with the series or just try to do the first season all over again.

Nobody asked for it and nobody in their right mind should want it. I mean, I did enjoy it for the most part but this is really pointless.

Plenty of other shows should be brought back before this steaming turd was given a second chance.

Never know, it could be good if they've addressed the things that most of us disliked about the first lot (After season one).

Still, the whole people getting powers/X-men thing is a little played out tbh...

I loved series one and whilst 2 was garbage I sort of likes where they went after that :o

I would be interested in them giving it a good go again but we'll see.

Season 1 of Heroes is still one of the best things I have ever watched, it's easy to write it off as it did go downhill but I still watched all of it.

Will give this a try and keep my fingers crossed it's good.

1. Good first episode
2. Twenty two episodes of filler
3. Disappointing season finale.
4. Series cancelled...

That's roughly how it works, right?

I thought it was..

Bad Syler
Good Syler
Bad Syler
Bad Nathan
Good Nathan
Bad Nathan
Bad HRG
Good HRG
Yata!
The End.

As ever it will simply come down to the writing, you can successfully reboot anything if the writing is up to scratch.

I always got the idea they never expected the original to be picked up beyond the first series and were a bit surprised when it actually got ratings. They then panicked and wrote whatever came into their heads after that.

Otherwise know as "Lost Syndrome". Heroes, Lost and that other one, The Event was it? have really put me off getting into these "epic fantasy arc" type american series these days. They just end up either being rubbish or are cancelled.

Agree. They came up with a fantastic idea, they created some great characters with interesting stories that developed throughout the first series then it fell to pieces in the second when they ran out of ideas and just decided to spam us with new Heroes with new powers each week.

Hope they don't mess it up like last time, Season 1 was fantastic but Season 2 was so poor, they never recovered after that and you could just see the show slowing getting worse and worse.

Yeah the stupid character twists but were so stupid. Then the whole Sylar being bad because of his power, then Peter becoming bad when he picked up that power. It was amateurish stuff at times

Yeah I agree, the writers strike really hurt the second series and the direction they took it. The first series was definitely up therr amongst the best TV series I have watched.

The trouble I find with Tom Kring (the creator/writer) is he comes up with some amazing ideas and they start off well, but ultimately fizzle out - Touch is a good example.
