Hi all,

I currently run my rig in a CM Silencio 550 case, it has the two stock 800rpm fans fitted at the front drawing in air with a CM seidon 120xl cpu cooler drawing air out at the back.

Thinking of having a little play with some overclocking when my new G1 Sniper mobo arrives, which got me thinking about cooling. Not really looked at the temps before now but presumably there would be some benefit from replacing the stock 800rpm 120mm fans with some decent 1500+rpm fans?

Good to hear any thoughts people may have and noticed TWO features fans heavily also which is good timing :D

Cheers,
Alex

Standard setup of the case is 1x120mm fan on front for intake and 1x120mm fan on rear for exhaust. With unused 1x120mm mount on the front :) That then got changed to the two stock 120mm fans at the front with my CM Seidon 120M (not xl, apologies) at the rear working as exhaust.

Front door closed leaves a smaller channel for the air to go into the case admittedly but still a bit of space for it to come in.

I was contemplating the Akasa's so your recommendation tipped the scales :) Have ordered a couple and will have a look at them and maybe see if I can fit them to my CM Seidon cooler if I like them enough to consider another 1 or 2 :)
