gigabyte z87x-oc wont update bios

hello i have the above board and when i try to update from f7 to f8 i get the error that my qflash is out of date and needs to be updated in the bios and if i try to use the windows bios tool i get basically the same error saying i have to update to the newest version even tho im already on it.

anyone have any ideas on what to do
 
hello

spent last 2 days trying to get a dos bootable disk etc where i could run the flash utility to update to the f8 bios however ive tried numerous ways and everytime in dos i get the same error stating that the flash utility is out of date and to contact gigabyte for an updated version.

where do i go from here
 
Do you use EFIFLASH.exe which is included with F8 bios file?

Regarding Windows tool (@BIOS) - do you use ver B13.1112.1?
If not then download it from here and try again.
 
Hmm.
Well according to Gigabyte's website, F9 BIOS is out now for UD4H (I think OC board uses same BIOS, but don't quote me on that..), but whichever method I try it tells me my @BIOS/QFlash is out of date.
It isn't. Grr.
I want the "Improved Overclocking ability"!

Have to try the Efiflash route...
