Hi there

Acer are really doing great G-Sync promotions, they gave me such a great price I have taken an entire container of these:-

Acer XB270HA gaming monitor as the world’s first 1080P 27" display featuring NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ technology to provide stunning, ultra-smooth, tear-free imagery and rich colors for outstanding gaming experiences. It features Acer’s flicker-less, low-dimming and ComfyView technologies that reduce strain on the eyes for smooth and comfortable extensive viewing.

The Acer XB270HA is intended to be paired with enthusiast PCs for immersive, ultra high-end gaming. It features a spacious 27-inch LED backlit display with True HD (1920 x 1080 pixels).

With a GeForce® GTX™-powered PC, NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ display technology synchronizes the display’s refresh rates to the GPU to eliminate screen tearing and minimize display stutter and input lag to deliver smoother, faster, more breathtaking gaming experiences. Scenes appear instantly, objects look sharper and more vibrant, and gameplay is more fluid and responsive providing gamers with significant performance advantages.

The Acer XB270HA features 170/160 degree viewing angles so that brilliantly-colored images can be seen from almost every angle. DisplayPort™ v1.2 transmits video signals and four USB 3.0 ports are conveniently located at the side and bottom of the display for connecting to keyboard, mouse or mobile devices.

The Acer XB280HA monitor is made with post-consumer recycled plastic and features a distinctive red ring on the base stand. The multi-functional ErgoStand allows the screen to tilt from -5° to 35° to ensure the best viewing angle; the base rotates 120° from left or right for easy screen sharing; the panel height can be raised by up to 150 mm for optimum comfort; and the screen pivots from horizontal to vertical for more viewing perspectives.

This eco-friendly monitor features a mercury- and arsenic-free panel, LED backlighting for reduced power consumption, and is ENERGY STAR®(1) qualified.

Features:-
- Flicker-less technology – stable power supply eliminates screen flicker particularly beneficial for heavy users by helping to reduce eye strain.

Decided to hang off on the Asus 144hx g-sync model when I saw the price. Decided in the end to finally throw the money into a WC loop instead. Thought I'd made the decision to stick with what I had, hope you're happy lol ;)

Dang, that price! Well done, both to you and Acer!

Now I'm going to go and think very hard for a bit........

Excellent price.

So much for the massive 'G-Sync premium'.

It wasn't so much for it, it was the pretend land prices nVidia were charging for the add-in boards initially, which were the best part of the price of this whole monitor, including the module.

I would imagine that's the next ace up Acer's sleeve. If so and pricing stays this consistent with what's already on the market without gsync, I'd wager a 24" model to run in sub £300.

well that's not too amazing considering you can get 24" 144Hz monitors for well under £200 now ;D

if they bring out a gsync 24" for £200 or so, I'll be kicking myself for just picking up a non-gsync 144Hz monitor XD

This tops my wishlist at the moment, it was the AOC g2460pg but the price on this seems more reasonable (similar pricing for 27" vs 24") and if they come out with a cheaper 24" version then that would suit me even better.

AFAIK the sub £200 monitors (the aoc I presume) aren't 3d vision/ulmb certified, the ones I was referencing at sub £300 are :)

Would this monitor be good for a desk PC setup with a PS4 attached as well, or should I just buy a good 32inch £300 TV? My friend uses a 32" samsung tv for his PC and it seems fine... albeit 60hz.

Edit: Think it only has one connector :(

If correct all TVs are 30hz when connected on PC. Only one 60hz exists and is as rare as a unicorn.

The choice is yours.

Personally I pre-ordered this one a month ago, and looking forward to it.

Is this an 8bit TN then? Was going to just get the 24" AOC gsync but seen as this isn't much more, is slightly bigger and possibly has better colours I might wait.
