27" LED - in 1080p. Too low res?

OC Community,

I am looking at getting a new monitor. Needs to be big to make an impact (currently using a 22").

I am looking around the £200-300 mark and I want something like a 27" as 24" is probably slightly too small and the next readily available size is 27".

Question is due to my budget is 1080p on a 27" too low res for use as a PC. I would love to get a 1440p monitor but they are around £500 which is a bit steep.

27" at 1080p would be too low res for me, it's ok at 23/24.

You will have to up your budget then what about the AOC.

27" 1080p is too blocky for me for a monitor distance, 2560x1440p far nicer.
