Hi - I'm not sure if this is in the right section so feel free to move it.

After some advice on here I've got my new PC and just starting to put it all together. I ended up with the Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 - Devils Canyon Core i7 4790K CPU & Motherboard Bundle and a H105 cooler. I'm just not 100% where I connect the fan cables on this mobo. Is it to the usual cpu fan header or the cpu_opt?

I also got a phanteks case with an inbuilt PWM fan controller. Should I be connecting that to the CPU header and then the H105 to that?

Sorry for the stupid questions but this set up has a few more options than my previous builds.

Any advice/simple instructions greatly appreciated.

OK. So what do I do with the PWM controller? It looks like the case fans are connected to it so presumably it nneds to be connected to something?

Never used that case, but maybe connect it to one of the 4 pin system fan headers on the motherboard.

You may be able to connect it to the CPU header and run the H105 fans off that, but i'm not sure.

It'll need a feed from the CPU header, or at least a connection to a header with pwm output. I think you might need a molex on there as well. Maybe check the case manual? Just a thought.

Connect the pwm fan splitter cable to the cpu fan header. The cable from the pump connects to a system fan header. The video below shows you the installation procedure.
