Seasonic M12II Evo Bronze 850W

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

It's usually best to ask for advice before buying rather than after. :p Luckily Seasonic is one of the top psu makers in the world and this is a very good unit. There is a review here at Jonnyguru and they give it 9.4 out of 10 and as they are probably the top reviewr of psu's in the world that's good enough for me.

Hi

Does any one own this Psu, if you do could you please tell me if its good to use because i just ordered one yesterday and i want to make sure i made a good decision.

As pastymuncher has pointed out these are very good PSU's one other thing to note is when you fit this if your case has a vent below the PSU put the fan face down so the heat from your PSU does not end up in your case and up increasing your internal system temp.

I have one of these, it sounds like a jet engine under load compared to my old corsair HX520.

Seriously not impressed. To be fair it is the budget end of seasonic.

i got this on a kinda hasty whim, because my BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 850watt Platinum PSU which was platinum silence just stopped working, and after i made the order for the seasonic from ocuk, i established a rma with be quiet themselves and originally i didn't think they would help as i did not have the original invoice. But they accepted it and i am in the process now.
I think i just wasted a nice bit a cash.

DSR's give you the right to return anything you have purchased on the internet or over the phone for a refund. If you bought it here you have 14 days to return it for a refund. To put things into motion you need to contact them and request a return stating that you wish to do it under the DSR's. You are responsible for return postage.

I see, is that how it is, the thing is that would mean i would be spending quite a bit of money on just postage because i paid £8 for the seasonic another
£8 returning it and then another 20-25 for the the be quiet psu to Germany.
I'm not to sure what i should do. should i just keep the seasonic and use it and then when i get the be quiet one back sell it on, or sell the be quiet one?

You can't count the £20-25 for the Bequiet as you would have spent that anyway. The refund for the Seasonic should also include the postage you originally paid so you would only be down the postage for returning it. If you use the Seasonic and then sell it on when you get the replacement Bequiet you will take a bigger hit on it than £8. At the end of the day it's up to you what to do.

For real i now know what you mean, at first i thought it was the gpus in xfire but that was not the case, this thing is annoyingly loud and compared to my bequiet dark rock pro 10, well you know the rest. I just looked at the cheap side of it and thought yes seasonic, that must be a result.
