On the way home from work yesterday, i got rear ended at 2mph so almost not moving but it was from a 4x4 with an attitude.

so from the beginning, this 4x4 was sitting in the road and no one was letting it out, its our right of way so i didnt let him in either, he then attempted to intimidate me ( the person behind me let them out)

he was attempting to get round me on the path to go down a turning ( same turning as me)

i carried on my way oor a good 5 miles doing the speed limit of 60
he finally caught up and was riding me ass. then going through a village up a hill ( stop start)
he was sitting 1inch from me. i moved forward a foot, he then bumped me so i got out. he got out and he started Fing and blinding saying a i reversed in to him, he then pushed me and took the fighting stance.

My Gf got out and attempted to take a pic of his reg and he then pushed her.

at this point the car in front of me had pulled over and came over to say he saw everything, he then got verbal abuse and the guy refused to give insurance details so decided to leave.
as waslking back to the car he went round me doing wheel spins in his truck.

i was a little shocked as to what was going on and pulled moved out of the way and was trying to call the police, this guy then re appeared so i just left and went home.

i called 101 they said go to the police station... they closed at 5pm this is news to me.

so what do i do, report it to police?
i dont want to claim on him because i will then suffer for the next 5 years with premium and i was going to get the rear bumper resprayed any way because it had some paint flake.

thoughts??

Ring 101. Report two assaults and fail to exchange details. Don't get fobbbed off by the police, tell them you want it taken seriously and you will support a prosecution. Let us know how you get on. Can't believe he pushed your gf, what a whopper.

Yeah, I'd go all the way on him. See if any of the bystanders will give a statement and all that. Seems like a right D-Bag.

Report him and take it as far as possible, he was obviously looking for a fight if the first thing he did when he got out was pretend to be Bruce Lee, what's to stop him really hurting the next person he decides has done him wrong by following the correct rules of the road?

Definite GD user if he assumed boxing stance. Seal your letterbox quickly!

But seriously, you should report that. Violent behavior as well as a failure to exchange details. You've got a witness as well so they would be stuffed.

What the hell is wrong with some people. I just don't see how normal people can get so angry when driving and why people drive an inch of your bumper when they decide your driving too slow even though u were doing the speed limit.
It's also becoming even more frequent that people are just driving off and not giving details as not much will happen to them anyway.
Go to the police and report it asap! Getting pushed is assault and him leaving without giving u details is also an offence. U have a witness don't u?

If u have a witness and full description any No win no fee solicitors would have a wonderful time taking this guy apart for u. U would get your car fixed aswell as any costs or injuries from being crashed into and then assaulted they would take him to court for :p

should still report it to your insurer, regardless if your claiming or not.

I would personally still follow up on it if you got the witness details, as if they advise your reversed in to him, without evidence it is your word against his.

It's usually when poor people just try to be in the way on purpose to frustrate.

I'd get the whole solicitor solicitor going, take him to the cleaners :D

Well done for not having a punch up with him by the side of the road, I imagine that was exactly what he was hoping for.

Definitely report it, it may make him think twice about doing it again to someone vulnerable. Did you get the details of the witness?

thanks for the reply's guyss, i poped in to the police station and they said they can only do somethign i want to claim from him ( i dont as i will suffer the premium for the sake of £80)
they did how ever ask me to fill in a thing online about his behavior and will follow that up.

i dont see the point in reporting it to the insurance unless they approach me, i have the witnesses details and have spoken with him.

You clearly did it wrongly. You should have told them you want to press charges for assault and have a witness. They wouldn't have been able to fob you off then.
