only bummer is i have to put the speakers sideways, i might look into getting some smaller speakers that i can put underneath the monitor. has anyone got this monitor and do i need to calibrate the colours?

Congrats on your purchase. I just bought one myself a week ago and overall are very happy with the purchase myself. Does your panel have a bit of inverse ghosting on desktop use? specially if in the darker color area?

^^

This is definitely the question!

You would have to be extremely lucky not to have bleed though as most of these 34" are plagued with it.

Yep which is why I sent mine back, it was horrible for watching movies which I do a lot of. My Samsung 34er is just as good with better speakers but prefer the Dell stand. Also the Dell isn't as curved as the Samsung either but get used to it pretty quick.

here is a pic up for you guys, quite noticeable in a black screen but in games i dont notice it, and am not really that fussy when it comes to movies since i only watch em once every 3 or 4 months

for gaming and desktop use its fine. it doesnt look as bad in person though my phone has a crappy camera

Yup that photo is far too over exposed :p

What brightness are you using?

I lowered the exposure a bit so I am guessing this is closer to what you see in real life?

if its ok for gaming then no problem, who stares at a black screen all day

Whilst that is true, there are plenty of games and films that full of dark content i.e. horror genre for games and films, nolan batman films, anything that is scifi/space related etc. etc. and any form of bleed or/and severe IPS glow is very distracting and can ruin the enjoyment of those games/films.

Of course, if people only play "bright" content on their screens then it won't really be an issue.
