Around 100 cars - including vintage collections - will roll into town for the spectacular, with Grey Street closed to traffic.

The area from Grey’s Monument to the bottom of Grey Street will be separated into two distinct zones. Grey’s Monument will host the sponsors area displaying vehicles from the brands on show and also some ‘show-stopper’ vehicles, which have yet to be announced.

As well as browsing the cars, petrol heads can experience driving simulators and games with a motoring theme.

The free event runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Went down this morning for a bit, didn't see the R18 on the Benfield stand, the only decent picture I got without some numpty getting in the way was of the Countach.

Was my first time seeing a Mercedes GT as well, very similar to the SLS next to it but looked like an amazing car.

Was down earlier today, really busy around 1pm but such a nice day.

Here's my pictures:

Audi R18 at is audi newcastle on scotswood road!
Please Note: Due to high interest the Audi R18 e-tron Quattro will be on display across the weekend at North East Audi on Scotswood road.

Guess they didn't want such an expensive car in the city centre

It must be at the newly built showroom here

although theres another audi showroom on scotswood road further along towards newburn (unless it's closed now) but I'd imagine it's at the newly built one

Probably means not a lot of people will visit it and you can get some good pics though

Shame the R18 wasn't there. I couldn't be bothered trying to persuade the parents to go there to look at only that. :p

Was some good stuff to see - and hear, especially the Lamborghini's - but I managed to miss Mercedes and BMW completely. /facepalm

Loved the little 2002Tii. :D

that show room is literally a few minutes drive from the city centre your parents suck if they wouldn't have taken you.

You have more chance of seeing the f1 car again than you do that
I might ride down and peak in the window later, it's about 4 minutes from my house by bike and probably still there until tommorow
