Hi

My main machine has just died on me utterly (I've pulled all the expansion cards, removed the USB devices etc), it's not doing anything when I press the power button (PSU has been tested and works fine with the tester).

All that happens is if I turn the PSU on the speakers I've got plugged into the motherboard make a regular oomph every few seconds (the same as they do if the PC powers up, but it only does that once).

I've got to confirm the motherboard, but at the moment it looks most likely, as I'm not even getting a standby light on it, nor the CPU fan twitching.

So does anyone know what Gigabyte's RMA service is like, I think the motherboard (Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Intel Z87) is still under warranty as it's 2 years old.

Good rep AFAIK, one of the few with UK RMA. Their rep has been posting about the RMA earlier today so if needs be I'd assume they'd be prepared to assist.

That is a relief to hear :)

I know some manufacturers have a pretty poor rep

[edit]
I mean reputation for RMA speeds etc, rather than a poor representative.

Gigabyte have an outstanding rep for rma/customer service. Im a big fan of asus motherboards, but often you hear tales of their after sales support being a bit poor.
