Think this really shows how 980ti when it came out wiped out AMD's fury dreams. Once overclocked it destroys anything amd got.

The Fury X was already dead in the water due to its stupid pricing, as you could get the similar performing 980 way cheaper, there was no way anyone was going to pay about £200 more for the same performance, and the Ti just crapped all over its carcass when Nvidia dropped its price below it as well, as then you could have got a card that totally smashed it to bloody bits cheaper, and had more VRam as well.

Whilst the FX is a good card, release was a bit of a shambles and you could grab a 980Ti for cheaper as yo say and stock was non existent for the first couple of months of the FX launch.

Fury x is a good card from what i can tell the bad things about it or was on release is it got hyped too much to be atleast on par or beating a 980Ti this wasn't the case unless your looking at 4k then it matches it most of the time. It even got claimed as a overclockers dream so most was expecting this card to overclock quite well. 50-100Mhz on the core certainly isn't great. So its quite disappointing in this regard. Then... Then the price was just ridiculous It needed to be much lower.

If they atleast had price £100 -150 lower it would have been not so bad but it wasn't so its got bad press.

The 980Ti overclocks like crazy. a lot of people getting thier cores upto 1500Mhz is crazy. Memory overclocks well too. This is what i call a over clockers dream

The most surprising results are those for the last generation cards - the AMD ones have aged far better in newer titles. A 290 is competitive with the 780 Ti! Looking back to the launch of each it was a very different story. AMD's architectures have usually been more forward looking and that's very much the case here.
