If your PC is powered by an AMD branded processor or graphics card, you may be in luck. The American semiconductor company is running a game promotion that allows players to pick one game of their choice for free if they own a notebook or a desktop PC powered by AMD hardware that is listed among the computer processors or GPUs that are eligible for the promotion.
With its AMD4U free games promotion, one of the leading computer processors and graphics cards manufacturer is once again offering players one game of their choice free of cost if their desktop PCs or laptops are powered by select AMD products including central processing units, accelerated processing units, graphics processing units and separate graphics cards for desktop PCs. The list contains AMD APUs and CPUs, including A10, A8 and A6-series APUs, a number of high-end graphics cards, and AMD FX APUs and CPUs that can be found in a number of notebooks as well as desktop PCs.

Depending on the processor or GPU, players will be able to pick up one game from the given choices. Dirty Rally, Guacamelee and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham are some of the games that are included in the promotion. Those who are running high-end AMD Radeon Rx 200 and Rx 300 series graphics cards will have Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth, Far Cry 3 and Saints Row 4 on the list among other games to choose from.

To see if you can bag a free game, visit AMD’s dedicated game promotion website, download and run AMD Product Verification Tool, and follow the instructions to see if your hardware can is eligible. Below is the complete list of all the AMD products that are eligible for this promotion (via ThePGM). The promotion reportedly runs from February 15th to December 31, 2016. Note that only branded notebooks and desktop PCs bought from participating OEM vendors and system builders that have been listed below the eligible products will be eligible for the offer.

Edit : not sure, but apparently you need an OEM purchase from this list, it's not really clear on the website.

ofc you will need to create an account at AMD, then you have to download a software verification ( you get a number in e-mail to login), run the verification and if you are eligibale you redeem your game code, although there seem to be a problem for some ppl ofc :D, the thing isn't working smooth even for me so.
but it's mighty generous from AMD to offer ppl games out of the blue, i love freebies :D.

It says "Your manufacturer is not valid." Maybe my custom bios is messing around with it, I'll try it again later with a stock bios...

Supposedly my system hasn't bee verified before, and needs 48 hours or something....

So a self built system doesn't work? Seems like a empty offer. Good for some though.

Try this the other day, its only for certain OEM's and the computer should have been brought/built during the promotion period that started on the 18th or something lie that.

You have to have bought from OEM or system builder? WTH? Well that's rather lame.

Mind you, not that impressed with the list of games anyway lol.

Don't think I'd choose any of them if they were free!! ;) :D

I've got all the ones in my category, It say's my manufacturer is not valid anyway and I can't be assed with all the phaffing about just to get a knock back.. :(

Actually I haven't got Napolean Total War so I may try my luck later, It looks like I need to send them a copy of my OCUK invoice for the Fury Tri-x.

Will give this a try when I get home, but don't expect it to work as my PC is a self-build (as I'm sure everyone else's is on this forum!) - but worth a try to bag a free game! :D

Nice of AMD to reward their customers like this, even if it is only a subset rather than all of them, still a nice thing to do. Bravo AMD.

Mine's a self build and it worked fine so I don't think it has to be pre-built. I think just having a mobo from one of the OEMs along with an eligible gpu is sufficient. Does seem a bit random for people though so maybe there's more to it.
