Ok

Seems there maybe issues with some not all 10 series with high DPC latency

10 series owners

Run to find out if you have the same issue if you wish to do so

win 10 run latency mon

http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/latencymon.html

win 7 dpc latency checker

http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

http://www.thesycon.de/dpclat/dpclat.exe

been doing some builds for clients and come across this

issues with either 368.39 & 368.69 with a 1080 installed high DPC spikes and i mean high across the board.

I have tested my self on three different systems now with same high dpc with the 1080 as soon as i place the 980 ti no problem

the only thing that resolves the issue with the 1080 is going high performance with the power settings but one should not have to do this if the 900's where fine

1080

980ti does spike around 200 300 but that is fine

Update nvidia have replicated the issue so there aware ....not good really for an overprice card

i quote some one else with same issues all so reported across the web

https://forums.geforce.com/default/...s/gtx-1080-high-dpc-latency-and-stuttering/9/

Did some tests between my GTX 1070 and 960, same hardware and software, only the video card was swapped.

Idle 1070 (high latency): http://i.imgur.com/eLGnbm5.jpg
Idle 960 (low latency): http://i.imgur.com/nHNCnXH.jpg

Under load 1070 FS (high latency): http://i.imgur.com/WBOV2fS.jpg
Under load 1070 FS Ultra (high latency): http://i.imgur.com/mNaheTS.jpg

Under load 960 FS (low latency): http://i.imgur.com/3wOmPiq.jpg
Under load 960 FS Ultra (low latency): http://i.imgur.com/C3WUwCV.jpg

Now my question is, are ALL 1070/180's affected or is this an isolated problem due to defective hardware? Or maybe it's just a driver issue? Is there anyone out there that doesn't have DPC latency issues and can maybe post a screenshot proving this?

It'd be nice if Nvidia were to acknowledge this being a problem, at the very least.

My understanding was that it is a driver issue so should be fixed soon(ish). I don't know if they have always had this issue, have you tried rolling back to earlier drivers and checking?

Same with all the 10 series drivers fine with a 980 ti installed on any of the new drivers.

Yes i quote ManuelGuzman Nvidia

Thank you. No need to submit further survey feedbacks on this issue. We believe we understand the root cause and will provide a fix through a future driver. At this time I do not have an ETA but as soon as I have further information, I will share with everyone.

Aye, was just reading through that link.

It may explain why some people have been reporting stuttering with the 10 series cards in the Doom thread as it may be worse with the high dpc for Vulkan compared to no issues with OpenGL due to how it's coded?

@ varkanoid, Nothing wrong with those results.
-----------

Ignore GPU-Z its actually running at 1500Mhz
Don't know what happened with page faults, i heard one of my mechanical drives click when that shot up.
