Ok,...it has been damned hot of late.

My build (see sig) had been super stable for a very, very long time, but since last week I have suffered from the occasional BSOD during gaming, BSOD details below:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057

BCCode: 116
BCP1: FFFFFA8011216010
BCP2: FFFFF880044ABC74
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000002
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

At first it happened during a heavy gaming session in the heat of the evening. but today, it happened when the temp is a lot cooler (morning time) and I had only just loaded up the game (couple of minutes).

Now a little Google foo - points to the GPU.

I have updated all drivers and now I am worried it is the GPU that may be on its way out.

Anyone got any insight into this particular error code sting?

Have you check the temp of the GPU?

Sometimes a good clean for the heatsink and replacing the generally rubbish paste with decent ones can breath new life into an old graphic card ;)

well, opened up the case, and the DEMCI flex kit is doing its job well, not a lot of debris in there at all.

I took out the card, blew the heat sinks, not a lot of dust was lodged...hoovered it all, put it back in and let's see how it goes today.

watch this space I guess? :D
