Trying to find some bench mark results pitting the various manufacturers of these cards against each other.

Any one have some bench mark results, or know what the current leading one is?

All much of a muchness really, some have slightly better/quieter coolers than others.

In terms of benchmarks they will likely all do around 2ghz and some can do 2.1 or slightly more.

If it was me i would just the get the cheapest one available with a custom (none blower) cooler at the time (it is what i did).

If you want fastest out the box performance Zotac AMP Extreme cards are pretty much the fastest, even better they are in stock on both 1080 and 1070. :)

Go for cheapest with a good quiet cooler. Difference in factory overclocks will be barely noticeable. You will have to be watching fps counters rather than enjoying the game to notice.

Not surprised, it seems they have a much higher TDP limit, according to data posted in the 1070 thread (60% TDP usage vs 110%+ on palit with vcore 1.09v).

The zotac has 2 8 pin connectors, so yeah I think this is the best card ahead of the palit, that second connector isnt just for show the TDP limit is way higher on the card.

not really, my card cannot sustain 1.09v as it TDP throttles, KLM's card does it without breaking a sweat only at 60% TDP utilisation.

When a pascal bios editor is released zotac cards will fly able to use higher voltages than single 8 pin connector cards.

The zotac cooler seems on par or close to the palit cooler.

But is hardly going to make any difference in all fairness. Most wont do much over 2.1ghz stable anyway regardless of tdp/voltage etc on air. This is coming from an AMP extreme owner as well :p

Pretty much all of them manage 2.1 GHz core and 9000 to 9500 MHz memory.

The real difference between them is the out-of-the-box clocks if you don't overclock, and the cooler.

The best coolers are:

  • Palit Jetstream and Gamerock
  • MSI Gaming X
  • EVGA ACX
  • Zotac Triple fan extreme

All others will either run hotter or louder, or both. Also the 'founder' one is trash and will make the card lower its clockspeed because it gets too hot.

I thought the fastest 1070 out of the box was the Palit Gamerock Premier edition?
Core Clock: 1670MHz
Boost Clock: 1873MHz
Memory: 8192MB 8500MHz

Not to bad at all. Is there any 1070 owners of this card about? my brother is definitely interested (has soon as they come back in stock). Cheers

I have the non premium version, currently running at 2088 boost, 9020 mem no problem. Very quiet but huge.
