I've had my LG 24GM77 for a little over a year now and in that time it's been fine.
Last week out of no where a small bright spot appeared on the right of the monitor, near the bezel. It's not dead pixels as still changes colour correctly, it's literally just a brightness/contrast issue I guess. Display a colour and it changes correctly it's just a lighter version of that colour.
It's most visable on solid white/light colours. I've tried taking a picture of it, but although it's very clear to the eye, the camera can't seem to get it . Dark colours/black and you can't see it.
I did find this thread, where someone had pictures of a similar/same thing

It's basically that, but mine is what looks like a small circle and is closer to the bezel. It's far more obvious in person, than on pictures (I can't even cap mine on camera). There's definitely nothing on the surface of the screen and 100% sure nothing has ever pushed on the monitor (just sits on my desk, I'm the only one who uses/has access to it).
So does anyone know what it is and if there's a end user solution? Does it point at something going bad within the monitor and I should RMA while I still have warranty?
I can try again to get a pic, but it's hard. I have a Panasonic G3 and tripod if anyone has any settings suggestions that may make it easier to cap.
Thanks.
