Hello, I'm a long time console gamer (except for wow on a old laptop) and I'm tired of sub 30 fps, so I want to get a good gaming pc.

I will be using this pc for wow and AAA games, It needs to include a OS , a ssd would be nice and the ability to upgrade it in future.

All help is greatly appreciated :)

Seagate 1tb hdd £42.95

Ocuk dvd rw £17.99

Sorry for not having links, doing this on my phone.

Are all these parts compatible ? Is this a good build ?

I'd say room for improvement

The case is ok but looks to have poor cable management, the Motherboard is way too small being ITX for that case and do you really need a dvd-rw in 2016? 8gb ram would be fine but 16 wouldn't hurt. And i believe buying a new GTX 970 maxwell card is a bit unnecessary when for a bit more you could get a GTX 1060 which is faster than the 970 or an rx 480 which would crush it also.

Here is a build i think would suit your needs better, I'd just pick up a copy of windows of an auction site ;)

Thanks terley , what do you think ? I have a whole 2 days knowledge on pc components
So I was Mainly picking popular brands and combos.

I was looking to get windows 10 installed and tested so I don't have to mess around with anything, I was only getting the dvd rw incase I ever needed to use the boot disc.

Could you please try make another build but with windows 10 included for around the same price, how much on average do OC charge for a custom build ?

Windows is dvd, but no use, id phone them and ask for usb retail win 10

u don't need the dvd anyway. they bench build it without the dvd its just for the license, and you can download it from Microsoft if you need to re-install. you will never need the key again, as its already been locked to the motherboard

Thank you for the replies , that seems to have everything I need , how long what that build be good for ? Are there any pros/cons to a micro atx ?

I didn't know that kurgen, so a DVD rw is basically pointless ?

Optical drives are useless these days unless you want to play BluRay movies or burn CD/DVD/Bluray discs for some reason. For actually installing programs it's quite dead. Windows can be downloaded online. You just need a key. Games are available from Steam, Origin, etc where you pay online and can immediately download them. I haven't really used an optical drive to install a program since about 2010. If you want one, get one, because they are dirt cheap, but it is not necessary.

Micro ATX has the drawback that the motherboard is smaller, so you lose out on some expansion slots. Most people these days only use one card (A video card) and nothing else so if that's you, mATX or even mITX is fine for you.

On the other hand, if you want a GPU, a wifi card, a sound card, a TV tuner, and a capture card, you want full ATX.
