Hi,

Dumb question possibly. I want to buy something on the MM. I have posted on the thread offering full price.

I note that the buyer and seller should exchange contact details.

What should I do next. I see that messaging is disabled, so do I just wait for the seller to reply and then exchange details using personal eMail?

Cheers,

Nigel

Oh no, I've bought on here before. Has that rule always been in place?

Cheers,

Nigel

When they changed the rule and upped it 1000 posts, members like you who been here for ages got a free pass.

Like I said, enable Trust so you can message him.

The 1000 posts is the current checkpoint.

The rules were different prior to this and if you had access before the changes then your access should remain IIRC

Where can I find the TRUST - I suspect it might already be enabled as I have traded before.

Cheers,

Nigel

It changed to 1000 posts, but that wouldn't have affected you as you had access previously. Yes, you are correct, messaging on here is disabled, so you need to click the "Trust" button in the bottom right of their post. This will direct you to a page where you can email the member, who should then reply and you can exchange details. Remember, deals need to be made in the thread, so make sure you don't make offers in private. Read the FAQ for more information.

Pretty much.

Or message them first. Click on "trust" at the bottom of someones post (next to quote), same login details as the forum, "Click to send a message".

You already have it enabled, I see 6 positive comments there.

Just a thought but if it's been a while since you last used the trust system make sure it's not still set to use an old email you don't have access to anymore.

You need 1000 posts. ;)

The requirement was lower many years ago and considering he has been around since 2004 its safe to say he got access to MM on the lower requirement..... the same as i did.

Next time try posting something useful rather than a "Smart" answer which isn't smart lol
