A relative is moving to Twickenham for a six month employment contract.
She is renting a flat for the six months.
Strangely enough, there is no broadband in the flat.
Is there any viable alternative to entering into a twelve month broadband contract?
Usage would typically be browsing, email and probably iPLayer, YouTube, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Six and one month rolling contracts for available from a few suppliers; Google 'no contract broadband'.

Whether it'd actually workout any cheaper than taking a twelve month deal and buying yourself out I'll leave for you to calculate.

Plus.net seem to offer a reasonable (contract free) deal at £23 per month (LINK) - I'll suggest that.

Offer a neighbour £10 per month for wifi code.
That was my first thought and certainly the first thing she should try.

4g dongle?
Please tell me more . . . I know these exist but have no knowledge of or experience with them.

Pulse8 do monthly rolling contracts. I have been with them since Aug last year on Fibre. They are very good.
