boot sequence

Hi, I am experimenting with M.2 drives. For sata devices the bios boot sequence identifies the sata socket. ie on my Gigabyte ga-z270z-gaming-7 I see something like "P5 Samsung EVO 840". So if I have more than one of the same device I can tell which is which by the socked ID P5 or P6 etc. But...
