Is the EC FW update required on a Gigabyte B350 if I only use two DIMMs?
Hello, I am looking to hand down my 3700x to my son, who is currently running a 2400g in a Gigabyte AB350N mITX motherboard. To take the new CPU it needs a BIOS update, and the F40 BIOS instructions require installing the EC FW firmware update "to avoid 4DIMM DDR compatibility on 3rd Gen AMD...- Bilious
