msi kombuster

MSI Kombuster , Is it a realiable test for testing a card for artifacts ? I have a old RX 480 8gb reference edition, that I had lent to a friend, he said it is artifacting, I cannot see any artifacts whilst benchmarking on a long loop in Heaven benchmark and I tested the card with MSI Kombuster...
